Flight Wind Reeds, 2003

Kinetic sound installation for the North Carolina Museum of Art which consists of 5 elements, each 25 feet tall, composed of stainless steel and aluminum poles and topped with brass bells and steel forms that reference elements of flight and the abstracted parts of an airplane. The works turn, pivot and spin, making music as the bells on each reed are activated by the wind.
